| First off I want to say that Star Wars is by far my favorite Sci-Fi universe, despite of George Lucas’ best efforts to ruin it. So when they said that there would be an Episode VII I must say I was pumped that there would be more movies, but at the same time a little timid as I must say I am bit scared that the new ones will not be as epic as the original. So I want to start my first thread by getting your thoughts as to where Disney and Lucasfilm may take the series. How far ahead will they jump, 30 years? Or less?

| At least 30 years if they want the original actors to appear at all as their characters. And surely they want that. Everyone wants to see them again!

| I think that the general consensus is that Luke, Leia and Han will not be the central characters in these films, but rather the children: Jacen, Jana, and Aniken; depending on how far forward the go.

| I'm not wild about JJ Abrams as a choice of directors here. I would have been so much happier with Ronald D Moore.

| I think JJ Abrams from a marketing standpoint was a better pick, because of his success with Star Trek. I personally would have liked Moore or even Joss Whedon.
